Each full hosting account comes with full support for ASP, Microsoft .Net Server Side Includes (SHTML), the latest PHP engine and MS-XML. Each account comes with full unrestricted FTP Access to upload and manage web content.

Multiple Broadband Carriers

For the past 7 years we have solely provided our reseller channel with access to IP Stream ADSL connections through our BT Wholesale central pipes. We are now able to offer additional connection paths through Tiscali Wholesale and Cable & Wireless Wholesale over their LLU networks. Each has it's own strengths and merits. Upon placing an order all three options are provided to you to choose, as long as they are available at the customers exchange. By default we would recommend the BT Wholesale based connections for the majority of applications. Contact us for further details and wholesale pricing.

Peak & Off-Peak Data Caps

All our BT Wholesale packages are capped for the simple reason we don't want to sell solutions which are artificially limited and ladened with small print. The data usage caps apply to usage between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Outside of these hours traffic is treated as 'off-peak' and is subject to a fair usage policy of 100GB per month regardless of the month cap selected.

Unlimited Uploads

Upload usage doesn't count towards the data usage caps. This applies to all usage through out the day regardless of the package selected.

Static IP Addresses

You can assign Static IP addresses to each and every xDSL connection easily using our IP allocation pool. Should you no longer require them they can be easily be removed just as easily as they were added, and the connection is restored to a dynamic one. Routed IP addresses (4, 8 and 16) are also available and controlled in the same manner.

1 Month Contract

Unlike most ISP's we do not believe in fancy gimmicks or long term contracts. This is reflected in ICUK's own xDSL services, and in our reseller. Therefore the minimum contract length you can apply to all customers is 1 month. There are no strings attached or penalty clauses.

Enhanced Care

Broadband Enhanced Care offers a four hour response to reported faults and a Service Level Guarantee that an End User Access fault will be cleared within 20 clock hours of the service provider reporting it to the Service Management Centre (SMC). To achieve this, BT will ensure that engineers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to repair any End User Access fault covered by this product, providing that unrestricted access to the End User's premises is available.

This is an additional extra which can be added to any ADSL or SDSL connection.

Walled Garden

Non-paying customers beware! Walled garden allows you to point all customers traffic to a specific IP and page. This page can contain details why they are viewing this page and how to get in contact with you. Once the walled garden is removed a simple reboot of the router will restore all traffic to the connection.

Speed Limiting

Non-paying customers, or those who abuse their connections, can have their speeds reduced to a crawl. This can be useful in non-paying situations where cutting off the customers connection wouldn't help matters. The speed changes can be seen instantly.

Ban

The ban facility is ideal for non-paying customers whose connection is effectively suspended. It first of all terminates the session, and any further authentication attempts to the radius servers are refused.

Terminate

Should you require your customers connection to be reset you can force this to happen using the Terminate facility.

Modify

The modify function allows you to change the speed of a customers xDSL service. Eg upgrade from a Home 500 to a Home 2000 as long as the line will support such speeds.

MAC Code

Should you need to release a customer, at anytime, you are free to issue MAC codes. You don't need to contact us, you don't need to wait days to release them, and we don't charge you to access them. It's fully automated, and issued MAC codes last for 30 days.

Cease

If the xDSL connection is no longer required the cease function allows you to cancel the connection. You don't have to wait 30 days, the cease is provided to BT and this can typically take 5 days to take effect. There are no penalty charges or minimum contract lengths.

White Label Realm

Similar to our white label name of interdns for our hosting reseller services, we use interdsl.co.uk for our ADSL services. This realm is used for your clients ADSL usernames (user@interdsl.co.uk) and for reverse DNS.

XML API

Our unique hosting and xDSL XML API (Application Programming Interface) provides our resellers an easy and highly powerful way of interfacing with our servers. The possibilities are endless allowing you, but not limited to, interacting with every aspect of our platform through your own control panels, desktop applications or scripts.

Radius Logs

These allow you access to real-time logs showing you each and every authentication attempt by your customers. These are superb for support issues where customers are unable to connect. They will even show if the password used is incorrect.

Session History

Similar to the radius logs however they can show the length of connections and the reasons for disconnection (eg customer request, or potential issues with the connection). In the case of capped services data sent and received is monitored and listed.

Usage Tables

We record and log all data that goes through clients control panels. We update the usage of all connections every 30 minutes to provide you a near real time idea of the traffic flowing through a connection.

Woosh

A highly powerful diagnostic tool which allows you to query the whole ADSL circuit including our central pipes, BT local exchanges and the end-user equipment. A large number of diagnostics are provided depending on the symptoms (eg for clients without sync woosh can query the exchange to see if there is a fault with BT's equipment, or indeed if the fault points to an issue with the end-user equipment).

FrontPage 2002 Extensions

For an additional fee of just £10.00 per annum, you can install Microsoft FrontPage 2002 extensions on an account, allowing you to use Microsoft's popular and easy to use web authoring software.

Windows Scheduled Tasks

Once installed on an account, it is possible to schedule the execution of upt 10 scripts within an account's webspace at various points throughout the day, month or year. Common website tasks that benefit from time scheduled execution include the expiration of data, sending of emails on specific dates, billing purposes, clearing out log files or caches and generating reports. We provide the facility to receive email reports each time a scheduled task is completed for peace of mind.

Graphical Website Statistics

View both real-time and historical information about the visitors to your web site. You can both view detailed Webalizer graphical statistics through our control panel. These are provided as a free option on all accounts.

Stats Only Control Panel

Should you prefer not to provide customers with a control panel, but would still like to grant them access their website statistics, a separate "stats.yourdomain.co.uk" interface can be provided to your clients at no additional charge.

Raw Log Files

Allow customers to download their own raw log files via FTP for free. This can prove of high value to customers who require to know more about their visitors than provided in the graphics statistics section. There are no extra costs associated with our raw log files.

Additional FTP Logins

When you create a hosting account the username and password picked can allow you instant access to the account via FTP. Our control panel allows you to setup additional FTP Logins on a per account basis, allowing customers and web site users to access and upload files directly by FTP within a web site itself. Our control panel allows you to specify an 'FTP Login' quota as well as the read or read-write permission on each login.

Custom MIME Types

Many MIME types are preset on our Windows web servers, however should a specific file type or web application not appear on your site or function correctly, such as a Flash Video, you can define your own custom MIME types on the web site.

Windows Custom Error Pages

When a request is made for a file on your site that is no longer available visitors will be displayed with a standard uninformative page. The customer error pages allow you to present something more informative and in the style of your website allowing you to increase the chances of retention to your site. This applies to Windows error codes 403, 404 and 500.

Website Backup

Resellers and clients now have the ability to easily backup and store locally a full copy of all website files including images and databases via the control panel. Simply click on the backup button for a website and a zipped download is presented for easy storage on your machine. All our servers are backed up off-site every 24 hours as standard.

Shared & Professional SSL

Ensure that your customers' data is protected with 128bit encryption to minimise risk to them, and maximise your sales. Shared SSL is provided on an anonymous domain of https://www.securedweb.co.uk/username/.

Alternatively opt for a professional SSL certificate of your own based on your domain name. A static IP address with its own secure server is configured for your site and a 128bit SSL certificate registered for your organisation and installed upon it. Your customers see your organisation's details as the verified site owner when viewing the SSL properties in their browser providing your customers with the ultimate in security and verification.

XML API

Our unique hosting and xDSL XML API (Application Programming Interface) provides our resellers an easy and highly powerful way of interfacing with our servers. The possibilities are endless allowing you, but not limited to, interacting with every aspect of our platform through your own control panels, desktop applications or scripts.

SSH

Secure Shell (SSH) is a network protocol, like FTP, that allows data to be exchanged between two computers. Unlike FTP, all data transmitted during an SSH session is encrypted, ensuring that any sensitive information such as passwords are hidden.

Enabling SSH access on an account provides the ability to administer it remotely, by logging directly into the server it is hosted on. This allows you to browse the account's webspace, edit files and execute powerful tools or scripts, including the MySQL command line SQL shell.

There are many free SSH clients available for Windows, including the popular PuTTY client, and the OpenSSH client is usually installed by default on Mac OS X and Linux.

Cron Jobs

Short for 'chronograph', cron is a time scheduling service on UNIX operating systems used to periodically execute commands. Once installed on an account, it is possible to schedule the execution of scripts within an account's webspace at various points throughout the day, month or year. Common website tasks that benefit from time scheduled execution include the expiration of data, sending of emails on specific dates, billing purposes, clearing out log files or caches and generating reports.

IP Restricted Directories

Restrict directory access to specific hosts or IP addresses, without needing to manually create .htaccess rules.

Password Protected Folders

For each account you can setup as many password protected folders as required. This allows you to store data and restricting access to only those who should be able to see it.

Reset File Permissions

Reset file permissions throughout an account to the default secure settings with a click of a button.

FrontPage 2002 Extensions

FrontPage extensions allow you to use the publication feature and dynamic page elements available in Microsoft's FrontPage software. You should only install the server extensions if you intend to use Microsoft's FrontPage software to create and upload your web site. There are no additional charges associated with installed FrontPage on Linux accounts.

Tier 1 Carriers

Low cost doesn't necessarily means poor quality. We will not compromise on the quality of our service, as such we will only use Tier 1 carriers to route our calls throughout the world. This should provide you with confidence with the product you are reselling. Switching phone calls from established companies, such as BT, needn't impact on your customers other than savings.

No Minimum Call Charges

We don't impose minimum call costs or call connection charges. Instead our pricing model is very simple and clear; You only pay for the time you are on a phone call. If this last a matter of seconds, then you are only billed for a couple of seconds. This principle will immediately differentiate yourself from more established competitors and will save your customers money instantly.

Useful Facilities

We have placed a lot of development emphasis on our telecom billing platform to ensure that your customers can interact with your services in a paperless environment. All itemised billing is provided online, and updated every 24 hours (ie by 11am they can see the calls from the previous day). To make sense of the itemised calls we provide graphical statistics to help show how their organisation uses their phones and what their costs are made up of (eg calling UK mobiles is the highest proportion of the bill). In addition we have provided a powerful interrogation solution allowing you to extract information quickly and easily from months of itemised calls.

Invoice & Own Your Own Clients

Unlike other reseller platforms that may pass commissions for the introduction of a new customer, our terms state that the contract is between you and your customer. It is your responsibility to invoice and collect payments from your customers directly. Our panels will clearly show the amount you need to invoice your clients on a month-by-month basis, and the invoice sent needn't be anything other than stating the total cost of the calls. All itemised calls can be supplied to the customer in paperless form via their own client control panel.

Wholesale Pricing

The rates provided to you as a reseller are the same rates we purchase from our carriers! This immediately gives small telecom companies the ability to compete with the very largest on price thanks to the economies of scale our combined resellers represent. We don't add our own margins on top, and any reductions are immediately fed through for your benefit.

How do we make money from this platform? Obviously we can't provide a telecom and billing engine for only £20 per month. Instead we have a unique system of invoicing you for 20% of the profits you make from the CPS calls. This way your competitiveness isn't compromised, and it helps ensure we are committed to continually supporting and developing the platform. Your success will be our success.

Transfer Existing Phone Lines

There are two types of transfer methods. We can either complete a like-for-like transfer where the number and all associated line features are switched to our control. There is no disruption or hassle caused to the customer. The alternative is to transfer the line with changes, either adding / removing features (eg call diversion), or converting it from one line type to another (eg PSTN to ISDN2). We have a wealth of experience with line rental provisioning and transfers ensuring that whatever the clients needs we will be able advise and deliver the best solution for them.

Install New Phone Lines

Ordering new phone lines is made very easy through our reseller control panel. We can provide you with a full portfolio of single and multi-line PSTN, ISDN2 and ISDN 30 lines. The installations and on-site support are carried out by Openreach, a carrier independent organisation setup to support all telecom providers. All phone lines supplied by automatically have calls routed through our network.

Edit & Change Lines, Features & Locations

There are literally hundreds of options associated with each line type. Whether this be common solutions such as call diversion or caller display, through to more complex solutions involving DDI numbers or engineer re-wiring, we can provide this in the same manner that BT or any other firm can. As a reseller you can be confident in your ability to offer competitive and tailored solutions.

Simultaneous Broadband

Single PSTN lines can support ADSL broadband. With new installations we can provide you with the ability to activate broadband on the same day as the line is being installed. This can save time and money, as without this broadband provisions may be delayed by an additional week.

Tariff Management

As with carrier pre-select we provide a tariff management platform to aid you with charging your clients. We provide you with wholesale rates for the line rental, although unlike with CPS we don't invoice you for a percentage of the profits - any profits you can generate are all yours. Our statements page shows you at a glance a breakdown of a customers associated lines and any bespoke tariffs you have setup.

Wholesale Pricing

We provide you with wholesale pricing for line rentals. We don't dictate or influence the pricing you apply to your own customers you are free to set your own pricing.

Unlimited Addresses

We don't place any restrictions on the number of email mailboxes, forwards, group addresses, or auto-responders that you can setup. Each hosting account you setup can have it's own quota, or just leave it set to unlimited. Catch all-settings are also available as standard, although to help prevent the level of spam you receive we recommend setting up multiple mailboxes and mail forwarders instead.

POP3 Mailbox Access

Using any standard POP3 compatible mail applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, The Bat! or Ameol, you can send, receive and filter mail locally. You do not need to be connected to any of our connectivity options in order to access our mail services. There are no restrictions or additional costs associated with POP3 mail access.

IMAP Mailbox Access

IMAP is a method of accessing email messages that are kept on a mail server and accessed as if they were local. Email stored on an IMAP server can be manipulated from a desktop computer at home, a workstation at the office, and a notebook computer whilst traveling, without the need to transfer messages or files back and forth between each computer.

Each IMAP mailbox has a maximum storage size of 1GB. Additional do apply for each IMAP mailbox setup, although 14 day free trials are provided as standard for each mailbox setup. Should you wish to an IMAP mailbox can be downgraded to a POP account without losing your email.

SMTP Outbound Email

Authenticated outbound SMTP is provided as standard. In order to use it a user must authenticate a mailbox username and password. This will allow you to send email regardless of your location or ISP.

Auto-Responders

Set up an immediate response to any incoming mail arriving at your POP3 inbox. You can create an unlimited number of auto-responders per account.

Group Addresses (Multi-Recipient Address)

A Group Address provides the facility of one mail address having multiple recipients. Ideal for a sales team where mail is to be routed to more than one people. You an route to a POP3 mailbox or an external recipient and an unlimited number can be created through the control panel.

Webmail

Using the powerful SquirrelMail webmail engine, you can read your mail from any browser application in the world. Ideal if you or any of your clients travel on a constant basis and require immediate and fast access to your email. Spam + Virus Filtering

Using a custom built spam filter unique to ICUK, our spam filtering services allows you to configure every aspect of which messages are considered spam. SPAM filtering is available on a per account basis at £20.00 per annum, with a 14 day free trial. Click here for further details.

Unlimited Disk Space

There is no restriction on the amount of disk space your accounts may use. You can, however, set quotas on your own clients through the control panel and monitor their usage accordingly.

250,000MB Data Transfer Per Month

250GB of data transfer is available that can be used for your own account and for those of your clients. This should be more than enough for thousands of hosting plans. You can set and monitor the quota of each customer through your control panel for effective resource management. Through your control panel you have the ability to purchase additional data transfer blocks should you exceed this limit.

Real-time Service Status

We believe in honesty should any issues affect our service. We allow our resellers to view the current status of all our services in real-time. This is available in your control panel, and those of your clients. Any notes left by engineers will detail the fault and resolution time, and will not make reference to ICUK.

Service Announcements

In the event of problems developing on any of our platforms we openly promote these within our service status pages. In addition to this, especially if it is service affecting, we will issue email and SMS text messages to you to ensure you have access to the latest information at your finger tips.

Customer & Renewal Management Facilities

Due to reseller requests we have introduced a feature that gives resellers the ability to hold client details on file. Whether or not it be billing information, or contact details, they can be access easily via the control panel. Once a customer account has been established you can assign hosting plans to this customer. Our systems will remind you, the reseller, when they are due for renewal as well as the price you have agreed.

Personal Name Servers

Personal Name Servers allow you to use your own domain as the name of the DNS name servers on which you host your domain names. Your clients will use and see in the whois output name servers in the format ns1.yourcompanyname.com and ns2.yourcompanyname.com, with their own Static IP Addresses. Personal name servers are supplied as an addition service. By default resellers can utilise our generic ns1 & ns2.interdns.co.uk name servers.

Control Panel

Use our advanced control panel to setup, manage and delete your hosting accounts. You can set their quotas, change their password, install additional features plus manage your domain names held on your account. Our control panels have been designed and developed in-house since 2001 and ensure we develop the features that our resellers and their customers really want.
